I was so sorry to hear about the fire at your inn. It is such a lovely place. My husband and I enjoyed our stay there several years ago. Prayers are with you as you restore the Inn Ste. Gemme to its grandeur.

Hello, I was very sorry to hear about the Inn's burning this past month..Your's was the first Bed and Breakfast that my husband and I had ever stayed at and it sparked a tradition for us and our family. We are a family of 5 brothers (and wives) and every year for Christmas our mother (the matriach) gives us a gift certificate for a different Bed and Breakfast. The first was The Inn St. Gemme Beauvais. Well, this past Christmas we again received a Gift Certificate for a stay at the Inn. Do you have plans to rebuild or rehab? I would love to hear from you with any suggestions. We love the St. Gen area and would look forward to visiting again.

We have stayed with you twice. Though we never stayed in the Inn itself we did get to go through all the rooms and it is heartbreaking to think of all those beautiful things destroyed or ruined. Of course, our first thought, when we saw it on the news, was that everyone was safe. Thank God for that. Hope each day is a step forward for all of you with restoring the Inn and your spirit.

I had been having trouble thinking about how to convey to you the feelings I had last weekend when I went to see the Inn. It just has such a big impact on anyone who loves Ste. Gen, and it is hard to even imagine the impact on the two of you who have put so much of yourselves into the place.

Your email sets the right example for all of us – lets regroup and things will fall into whatever order they are meant to fall into.

You already know the support you have in the community. That includes me.

I was absolutely horrified to hear of the devastating fire at Inn Ste. Gemme Beauvais. I was a guest there in October & loved it & hoped to return. I don’t know the extent of the blaze, but hope it may be restored somehow.

I am so sorry to here about your loss. We are all thinking about you and praying for you. I was just talking to my sister and trying to plan a night when we could come to stay in March and the next day we heard about the fire. Cathy, Jan and Janet...we are all thinking about you and will keep you in our prayers. We will truely miss the Inn-in it''s old state and are hoping you rebuild. Thinking about you! Take care. I am so sad this morning as I read about your Inn. My husband and I stayed with you two or three times and had to have the Currier and Ives suite as he was on oxygen and could not climb the steps. We absolutely loved it and recommended it to many people.

My husband passed away in August, and this is another difficult time to not be able to share this sadness and the wonderful memories we had in St. Genevieve.

My prayers go out to you in this time of loss. I will always remember your graciousness to us.

Cathy and I were stunned to hear about the fire. We're so sorry, but thankful the no one was hurt.

We hope you will rebuild. To that end, there is an organization in St. Louis, the Rehabbers Club, which is involved in restoring the older home in St. Louis. They have a web site www.rehabbersclub.org which has many resources which may be of help to you.

My wife and I were devastated to learn of your tragic loss today. Two years ago we stayed at Dr. Hertich’s house and just this past December we overnighted at the Inn Ste. Gemme. We had plans to visit again this year but then KWMU notified us this afternoon about the fire. We watched the news and saw the horrific destruction that it caused. Words cannot express our sadness at the loss of this fine old house. We hope that you and your staff are well and experienced no injuries.

I am so sorry to hear about the inn i hope you both are doing well during your time of distress. I just could not believe that it caught fire. I was very glad to hear you will be rebuilding the inn. keep in mind to call the national preservation in Jeff City they maybe able to fund a grant or something because of the house being on the national historical register list. I also hope that you can salvage some of your original things from the house.

My wife and I have stayed in your great inn about four times (plus had relatives come with us). We are very sorry about the fire.

I am sitting here watching the devastating video of the fire – my heart is breaking! I feel like I have lost a friend. I was just there, staying in the Carriage House at the end of January – I called my friend in NY who was with me and he was equally as devastated. You are in my thoughts as you go forward – you were there for me when my parent’s died – I took refuge in your home – I hope you can find peace in knowing that you gave peace and comfort to others.
